1. SMS Terms of Service

  • Overview: By opting into SMS from a web form or other medium, you agree to receive SMS messages from The Laundry Corner. This includes messages related to customer conversations, order updates, confirmations, order replacements, and service follow-ups.
  • Consent: By providing your phone number and opting in (or by texting us at 415-919-7273), you agree to receive conversational SMS messages from The Laundry Corner.
  • Phone Number Use: Phone numbers collected as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Types of Messages: Messages may include order confirmations/updates, order replacements, and follow-up messages.
    • Example: “Hi [Customer Name], this is The Laundry Corner. We got your same-day order. We will contact you when it’s ready. Reply STOP to opt out.”
  • Message Frequency: Message frequency may vary based on your order status and interactions. You may receive up to 10 SMS messages per week related to order confirmations and updates.
  • Rates & Fees: Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. Rates may vary for domestic vs. international messages.
  • Opt-In Method: You can opt in by submitting a website form and checking the SMS consent box. If you do not want SMS messages, leave the consent box unchecked.

2. Garment Care & Suitability

  • Standard Laundering: By using our Wash & Fold service, you agree that your items are suitable to be washed in water on a normal cycle and dried with heat.
  • Dry Cleaning: Items designated for dry cleaning will be handled with professional care. We are not responsible for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials, such as suedes, leathers, or silks, that are not apparent before processing.
  • Check Your Pockets: We ask that all customers empty their pockets before service. TLC is not responsible for damage caused by items left in pockets (e.g., pens, gum, lipstick, or money).

3. Lost or Damaged Items

  • Inventory: TLC does not perform a piece-by-piece count of Wash & Fold orders. We accept all laundry on the basis of weight at drop-off.
  • Liability Limit: In the event of loss or damage, TLC’s liability is limited to a maximum of ten (10) times the charge for cleaning that specific item, regardless of brand or condition.
  • Claims: Any claims for missing or damaged items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

4. Pick-up and Delivery

  • Unattended Orders: If you request that we leave your laundry in a designated spot (e.g., a porch or foyer), we are not responsible for the items before we pick them up or after we drop them off.
  • Access: Customers are responsible for ensuring our team has safe and reasonable access for pick-up and delivery services.

5. Pricing and Payment

  • Minimum Charges: Orders may be subject to a minimum weight or service fee as listed on our pricing page.
  • Payment: Payment is due upon receipt of the service unless otherwise agreed upon.
